Larry Nassar, 59, the disgraced sports doctor who was convicted of sexually abusing female gymnasts, was stabbed multiple times in an altercation with another inmate at a federal prison in Florida, a prison union leader said yesterday. Nassar is in stable condition after being stabbed twice in the neck, twice in the back and six times in the chest in the attack on Sunday, the official said. An investigation of the incident is ongoing. Olympic gymnastics stars, including Aly Raisman and Simone Biles, were among more than 150 accusers who spoke out or released statements at Nassar's trial detailing his abuse. Nassar has been housed at Federal Correctional Complex Coleman in central Florida since 2018 in a unit with other sex offenders. |

A little pick-me-up before you go. |
Sky has Al on Cloud Nine! Al Roker shared what his "magical" first week as a grandfather has been like since his daughter Courtney gave birth to her first child, Sky Clara Laga. "To hold this little girl knowing that 30, almost 35 years ago, I held her mom," he said on TODAY. "And here she is ... and she's just perfect." To celebrate Al's milestone moment, the TODAY family gave him a pair of custom onesies for Sky, including one that says, "I love Pop-Pop." Al also shared that Sky (whose atmospheric name is just a coincidence) is already a great sleeper. "She sleeps for four hours, wakes up, goes to the bathroom, then sleeps for another four," he said. "We're on the same schedule!" See adorable photos of Al's granddaughter here. |
