The 19-year-old gunman who killed two people at a St. Louis high school on Monday was armed with an AR-15-style rifle and over 600 rounds of ammunition strapped to his chest and in a bag, police said. The shooter, who died after he exchanged fire with police, also left behind a note describing himself as a loner and referring to mass shootings, police said. A St. Louis news anchor who reported on the attack shared the harrowing moment when she realized it was her daughter's school. Her daughter was frantically texting her in all caps while she was on air, which put her in "shock mode." Read the full story here. |

An old clip from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" showing Yolanda Hadid telling her then-teen daughter Gigi to just "have a couple almonds" after Gigi says she feels weak from not eating has given rise to a new term: "almond moms." If you're looking for some cooking inspiration, you might want to check your local graveyard. In a perfectly spooky video ahead of Halloween, digital librarian Rosie Grant has shared a recipe for spritz cookies "to die for" that she found etched into the gravestone of a woman buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York. The recipe only includes seven ingredients and no instructions, but Grant was able to make them and share them on her TikTok account, @ghostlyarchive. She also found recipes for fudge, nut rolls and more on other tombstones. Now if you'll excuse us, we're updating our will to have the recipe for Girl Scouts Samoas cookies inscribed on our headstone. |
