Former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak, 42, won the race to be Britain's new prime minister yesterday, becoming the first prime minister of color in British history and the youngest since William Pitt the Younger in 1783. His appointment follows the disastrous tenure of Liz Truss, who lasted just 44 days on the job before resigning. Sunak is a multimillionaire former banker who is the son of African-born Hindus of Indian descent and grew up in the British port city of Southampton. Actor Leslie Jordan, former "Will and Grace" star, dies in a car crash at 67.

Actor Leslie Jordan (second from right, above), best known for making audiences laugh as the scene-stealing Beverly Leslie on the sitcom "Will and Grace," died yesterday at 67 in a car crash in Hollywood, his spokesperson confirmed. Tributes poured in from the stars of "Will and Grace," as well as country music legend Dolly Parton, who sang on a track on Jordan's gospel album last year. Jordan first gained fame on the 1990s sitcom "Hearts Afire" and also appeared in the "American Horror Story" franchise on FX. He most recently starred opposite Mayim Bialik in the Fox sitcom "Call Me Kat."

👶 Christina Perri welcomes a 'magical double rainbow baby' after a stillbirth and a miscarriage.

The singer-songwriter shared with fans the joyous news that she welcomed a "magical double rainbow baby girl" named Pixie on Oct. 22. Perri and her husband, Paul Costabile, endured a miscarriage in January 2020, followed by the stillbirth of a daughter named Rosie in November 2020. Perri, who also has a 4-year-old daughter, rejoiced in the newest addition to the family. "We've been having all the feelings, but mostly trying everyday to choose joy," she wrote on Instagram.
