Indiana congresswoman Jackie Walorski and two staffers were killed in a car crash.

Rep. Jackie Walorski, 58, a Republican from Indiana, was killed in a car crash in Elkhart County yesterday, authorities said. Staffers Emma Thomson, 28, and Zachery Potts, 27, were also killed along with the driver of the other car in a two-car collision, police said. Walorski was first elected to Congress in 2012 and was running for her sixth term this fall.

"The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again," she wrote.
