May is Women's Health Month and doctors warn there are certain symptoms women should never ignore. Extreme sadness should be at the top of that list, said NBC News medical contributor Dr. Natalie Azar.
"We very often concentrate so much on physical symptoms that we often overlook something as straightforward and common and important as symptoms of depression," she noted.
Doctors are concerned many women missed or put off routine health screenings during the pandemic, leading to delayed diagnoses in the months and years to come.
