Feeling like you could use a break? According to the World Health Organization, burnout is characterized by feelings of exhaustion, increased mental distance from your job or reduced professional efficacy. If you're experiencing any of these things, your workplace stress is not being successfully managed – and it's probably time to do something about.

If someone is experiencing a high level of exhaustion and feels like they're not treated well at work, some might encourage a vacation or a massage.
