At an event in New Hampshire last night, Chris Christie got caught on a hot mic appearing to say that rival Nikki Haley was going to get "smoked" in the Republican presidential primary race. "You and I both know it. She's not up to this," Christie said. His comments came offstage before he announced that he was dropping out of the race for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. The former New Jersey governor also was heard saying he got a call from presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis, who Christie said was "petrified." Christie did not respond to a request for comment about his remarks. Meanwhile, Haley and DeSantis clashed at a debate last night. Here's the latest. |

Arguably the greatest coach in college football history, University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban is retiring after 17 seasons with the Crimson Tide. In 28 years as a college head coach, Saban never had a losing season, had 49 players picked in the first round of the NFL Draft, and coached four Heisman Trophy winners. "It is not just about how many games we won and lost, but it's about the legacy and how we went about it," Saban said in a statement. "We always tried to do it the right way." Read more. |
