txtWeb - PUSH API is now Live!

Dear Developer,

To kick-start the new year, we have an exciting update for you. We are delighted and proud to release PUSH API for our developer community.

Let's take a tour of the new guidelines.

What's New?

-         Notifications to now go through txtWeb's short code number instead of the long code: This will mean that users will be able to interact with and use your apps more easily by just hitting "reply" :)

-         Users to choose to get push notifications. Users will now have to use your apps at least once to get push notifications and they can choose to unsubscribe anytime they want.

What You Need to Do?

To use the Push API feature, you will have to submit your apps for approval. Within 48 hrs, once we review your app, you will be ready to use your app with the push feature. To do so, you have to go to your developer dashboard and submit your app for review.

New apps can be submitted for review even while you publish them. New developers can explore this tutorial  to understand how to use the push API in their app.

What are the Guidelines?

It's Simple. Apps that contain profane / abusive language or promotional content will not pass the review. If your app is not approved, do make the necessary changes and submit it again.

Do mail us if you have any questions.

Happy txtWebbing!
