What followed surprised everyone involved: holidays, dinners in Paris, regular text messages with Jade’s fathers and two weeks in Connecticut this summer filled with shopping trips, baking and English homework. “I never expected any of this," Matto tells TODAY.com.

When Mike Perfetuo and friend Katie Novack were denied entry to a restaurant in Los Angeles due to the dress code, they found a way around it: switching shirts. Giggling outside the venue, Perfetuo swapped his sleeveless shirt for Novack's puff-sleeved satin blouse to satisfy the requirement that male patrons can't show their shoulders, sparking a dress code debate. “I didn’t realize, until now, obviously, how strict some of the rules are," Novack tells TODAY.com.
