Brian Thompson, 50, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was fatally shot in what police said appears to be a "premeditated, preplanned targeted attack" outside a New York City hotel yesterday morning. Shell casings found at the scene had the words "deny," "defend" and "depose" written on them, a senior NYC law enforcement official told NBC News this morning. The gunman remains at large.
