A message from our Editorial Director

Father's Day is also right around the corner, and I shared some exclusive deals on 3rd Hour TODAY this week for all you last-minute shoppers. The deals go beyond gifts, too. If you're ready to stock up on summer essentials, the Shop TODAY Savings desktop browser extension is a must. It automatically finds coupons at thousands of websites while you shop and automatically applies them at checkout!
Here's what's currently in my shopping cart this month (so far!).
Tops, tops, tops! I can't get enough tops for summer. I've been trying to find one that is light, comfortable and flattering but that I can also wear to work or dress up. News flash: I found it. And I bought this in a handful of colors.
When I want to dress totally down in the dog days of summer I reach for some old school bike shorts with an oversize top. These are by far the most comfortable pair I've ever worn, and they have pockets!
I hate splurging on sunglasses that I know I will inevitably lose at some point so I'm all for cheap sunglasses. I've bought a couple of these over the years (due to losing so many!) and love how lightweight and flattering they are on my wide face.
I am a minimalist when it comes to jewelry and keep the same earrings on for weeks at a time. The key is a flat-back earring for comfort and nothing that dangles. I've been wearing these subtle studs nonstop and love them.
I talked about these on the show last month, but these flip flops are truly the most comfortable ones I've ever tried. They're made with yoga mat foam and have arch support which translates into total comfort.
When it comes to my beauty routine, I am always on the hunt for items to keep my hair frizz-free. It's hard, but this stick helps a lot with flyaways and frizzies along my hairline and part. It's my go-to for getting the perfect sleek ponytail, too.
If I'm running out the door with wet or damp hair I always reach for this wave spray from Ouai. It basically enhances your natural hair's texture to give it a nice beachy look. For me, it really brings out my natural hair's waviness. Plus, it smells so nice.
One of the best parts of a hot summer day is a refreshing shower. I have loved these large Japanese shower cloths for years because they give your skin a deep clean and help exfoliate too. This is a re-buy every few months.
Another re-buy for me are these plant-based odor-eliminating gels. I have one in every bathroom and closet year-round to keep my spaces smelling fresh. I also have one in my kitchen and it's great at absorbing any and all odors.
While I'm on the cleaning gel topic, since I spend so much more time in the car over the summer for travel, I always keep the dust and crumbs at bay with this cleaning "slime." It's so satisfying to use and you just rinse it with water and use over and over again to get into every nook and cranny. It's like detailing your car for $6!
Another road trip essential is a car trash can. It sounds silly, but it keeps everything in one place, the lid covers up odors and the material is waterproof incase of any drink spills and accidents. And when you're not using it as a trash can, you can load it up with ice and use it as a cooler on the go.
My family has also been spending a lot of time at our local park where they have sprinklers going for the kids. My toddler has been loving it, and we bought these reusable water balloons that have made her the most popular kid on the playground. They're easy to fill and provide hours of fun for everyone.
