The House of Representatives is poised to pass legislation today that could ban TikTok in the U.S., as Republicans and Democrats warn that the popular video-sharing app is a national security threat. TikTok, owned by the Chinese company ByteDance, has argued that a ban would violate the First Amendment rights of its 170 million U.S. users and harm thousands of small businesses. The bipartisan bill is expected pass the House and be sent to the Senate, where lawmakers say they are still evaluating it. President Joe Biden has said that if the bill reaches his desk, he will sign it into law. Here's the latest. |

This month, customers are swarming shelves and waiting in snaking lines outside Trader Joe's locations around the country, all in pursuit of a little bag that costs $2.99. Mini versions of the grocery chain's reusable canvas totes have become the latest Stanley cup, the viral sensation that had people jostling at Target earlier this year. A set of the bags worth about $12 is selling online for as much as $1,000 (although it's not clear anyone's actually paying that amount). So why's this happening? See what all the hype is about. |

Even rock stars can't avoid getting roasted by their daughters. Lenny Kravitz earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday, and his daughter Zoë couldn't resist some jabs at her dad's wardrobe and many romances. "According to my dad, if it doesn't expose your nipples, it's not a shirt," the "Big Little Lies" star said in her speech. "Your relationship with the netted shirt is probably your longest one, and it works." Zoë, who is Kravitz's only child, also had plenty of heartfelt words for the "Let Love Rule" singer. "You make people feel alive," she said. "You remind them of the only thing that matters: Love." See her speech here. |
