A pilot and explorer believes he's solved an 87-year-old mystery by using sonar to locate the long-lost wreckage of Amelia Earhart's plane. Tony Romeo, a former Air Force intelligence officer and the CEO of Deep Sea Vision, combed the floor in the Pacific Ocean with sonar technology and found a blurry, plane-like shape (above) he believes is the aircraft Earhart was flying when she disappeared in 1937. "You'd be hard-pressed to convince me that's anything but an aircraft, for one, and two, that it's not Amelia's aircraft," he said on TODAY. Here's the latest. |

Swallowing a balloon to help weight loss? That's the concept behind a product that's aimed at those looking for an alternative to the injections and cost of popular drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy. The process, which is in a clinical trial phase, involves a patient swallowing a capsule that contains a balloon attached to a catheter. Fluid is then hooked up to the end of the catheter sticking out of the patient's mouth, and a doctor fills the balloon with about 18 fluid ounces of saline. The balloon takes up space in the stomach, making the patient feel full longer to aid in weight loss. Here's what to know about side effects, cost, and what obesity experts think about its effectiveness. |

Whoops! Jessica Vaccaro was wheezing with laughter as she and her family unpacked bag after bag of McDonald's Chicken McNuggets following her husband's DoorDash screwup. Chris Mullane accidentally pressed the "x20" button on his 10-piece McNugget order, resulting in a delivery of 200 McNuggets, along with a few burgers and fries. "My attention to detail in regards to things like that wasn't huge," Mullane told TODAY.com in a massive understatement. Vaccaro shared the funny throwback moment on TikTok to the delight of those who love a good delivery disaster.
