The U.S. Coast Guard said yesterday that it has likely recovered human remains from the wreckage of the Titan submersible that imploded last week and killed all five men on board. Large pieces of the 22-foot submersible, which was on a voyage to see the wreck of the Titanic, were unloaded yesterday at a port in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. The debris is a crucial part of the investigation into why the vessel imploded. The pieces were located about 12,500 feet underwater and roughly 1,600 feet from the Titanic on the ocean floor, the Coast Guard said last week. Here's the latest. |

Madonna has postponed her international Celebration Tour to recover after spending several days in an intensive care unit due to a "serious bacterial infection," according to an Instagram post by her manager yesterday. Her tour was supposed to kick off on July 15 in Vancouver, but that date and some other scheduled performances will be put on hold. Here's what we know. |

Summer vacation and sweltering temperatures make this the perfect time to cool off by taking a swim, but not without taking some precautions first. American Lifeguard Association spokesman Wyatt Werneth shared some updated water safety tips with us, including an important one that might get overlooked: Don't buy kids blue bathing suits. "Putting your kids in a bright color would help us identify them in a crowd," he said. "Blue blends in with the water, making them harder to see." He also shared 4 other situations to avoid while in the water, like diving headfirst and swimming without a lifeguard present. |

They work whether you're already in a walking routine or just getting started. Take some inspiration from Start TODAY member Sandy Vecchi, who shared what adding strength training has done for her. "This has made a huge difference in the total calories I'm burning as well as the inches I'm shedding. I can tell the difference in the way my clothes fit without seeing a big change to my weight," she wrote. A little pick-me-up before you go. |
Which one is Mom?! It's hard enough for adults to tell identical twins Sammie Nowakowski and Stephanie Buckman apart, so what are the chances their toddler children can do it? The two moms from Florida put their 22-month-old kids to the test for a fun TikTok video in which Nowakowski's daughter Maddie and Buckman's son Noah try to figure out who is who. The sisters dressed in matching black outfits and sat in the same position with their arms out to beckon them for a hug. Maddie passed with flying colors, while Noah got turned around when the sisters switched places. "He didn't know what to do!" Buckman said. See the adorable video here. |
