This Filipino adobo chicken from chef Tim Flores is a flavor-packed, one-pot wonder. You'll know the chicken is ready when the meat starts to pull away from the bones after simmering on low to medium heat for around 45 minutes. Pork and mushrooms work great in place of the chicken, or try any protein and veggies you prefer. Get the recipe. |

A little pick-me-up before you go. |
Pour out some lemonade in honor of the original Chick-fil-A. The first standalone Chick-fil-A in the U.S. has closed its doors after being open since 1967. The location in Atlanta's Greenbriar Mall was only 384 square feet and started back in the days when the mall food court wasn't even a thing yet. The fast food chain's Original Chicken Sandwich went for 59 cents at the time and was one of just a handful of items on the menu. There were no waffle fries or nuggets yet for the local Little League baseball team to scarf down. Since the humble beginnings in the mall, there are now more than 2,300 Chick-fil-A locations nationwide. |
