| Today's workout is a 20-minute interval walk.
Your mental health challenge this week is to channel happy hour vibes by prepping yourself a mockail to enjoy after your walk. Nutritionist Samantha Cassetty shared some of her favorite ways to make water more exciting: - Make festive ice cubes. You can make ice cubes out of 100% fruit juice, herbal or regular tea, or, by adding a berry or another bit of fruit, along with water, to each cube in your ice tray.
- Add a spritz of flavor to your water. If you don't love plain water, add some flair. Cucumber, lemon, lime, mashed berries, ginger, and mint are flavorful, healthy add-ins. Feel free to play around with any fruit, veggie, herb or seasoning you like!
- Get fancy with glassware. Invest in a beautiful water bottle or a new set of glassware. Or enjoy your post-walk water in a wine or cocktail glass to make it feel special.

Stir-fry meals are great go-to dishes for busy weeknights. Once you've mastered a few different recipes, you can knock out a tasty, healthy and satisfying meal in minutes using whatever you've got left in the fridge! This recipe uses soba noodles, but glass, rice, udon or whole-wheat noodles work too. And you can always use peanuts instead of cashews, which are usually pricier.
Here's your meal plan for today: See something you don't like? Swap it with another recipe in your weekly plan. |

102-year-old doctor who still works shares her simple tips for a happy, long life |
As a physician and holistic medicine pioneer, Dr. Gladys McGarey has plenty of wisdom to share after a long life that's provided lots of joy, but also many setbacks along the way. She's a cancer survivor, endured the death of a daughter and went through a divorce when she was almost 70. Her advice for getting past such setbacks? "You just don't get stuck in them. It's a matter of choice: What do I choose? I chose not to be stuck in the pain and suffering. It hurt and I didn't like it," McGarey says. "There comes a point where it's just not worth my energy to spend any more time on that. I've got the energy to do something that's creative and pull myself out of that and work forward." At 102 she is still working as a consulting doctor, exercising daily and living mostly independently at her home in Scottsdale, Arizona. Learn more of her tips for a long, happy life. |
