Former President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty yesterday to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to his alleged role in hush money payments toward the end of his 2016 presidential campaign. The indictment was unsealed in a proceeding before a judge in criminal court in Manhattan. The statement of facts compiled by prosecutors outlined three people who received hush money payments: adult film star Stormy Daniels, Playboy model Karen McDougal and a former Trump Tower doorman who claimed to have a story about a child Trump had out of wedlock. Trump said the case "should be dropped immediately" in a speech at his Mar-a-Lago estate last night. Here are the key takeaways from the indictment. |

You've heard of the four-day workweek, but what about the four-day school week? One Ohio district is giving it a shot, and it's not because officials are concerned with kids being overworked. They're more worried about burnout among the teachers. "You walk through the buildings and you can just see it in our eyes how tired they are," North College Hill City School District Superintendent Eugene Blalock told TODAY. Starting in August, students will attend school Tuesday through Friday and use Monday for self-guided work at home. "If we really dig deep, this is about student achievement," Blalock said. "If our teachers aren't 100%, our students won't get what they truly need and deserve." Read more here. |

For the past 44 days, Tennessee man Kevin Maginnis, 57, says he has eaten nothing but McDonald's after announcing on TikTok that he would only eat from the fast-food chain for 100 days in an effort to lose weight. Maginnis says he has lost 33 pounds and lowered his cholesterol significantly over the past month and a half. His approach is to consume only half the meal to reduce caloric intake, and save the rest for his next meal.
