The usual discussions on Disney World forums about wait times for rides and the cost of annual passes have turned political after the company sued Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday. Disney alleged a "targeted campaign of government retaliation" that violated the company's protected speech. Disney opposed DeSantis' controversial legislation known informally as the "Don't Say Gay" bill, and his administration reacted by calling the company "woke" and targeting the theme park's property and land-use rights. (He even suggested putting a state prison next to Disney World.) The moves have caused an uproar among online Disney communities. "We remove a whole lot of stuff to be safe, and we get pushback from the left and the right," a moderator of the largest Disney World subreddit told NBC News. "We have folks saying, 'You guys are obviously a bunch of liberal shills' and then we have people saying, 'You guys are fascist enablers.'" Read more here. |

Springer hosted the show for 27 years after getting into television following a foray into politics, where he became mayor of Cincinnati in 1977. Springer died from pancreatic cancer, which health experts say is often diagnosed in later stages because it doesn't show symptoms or they go unrecognized. But symptoms do occur, and they shouldn't be ignored. Here's what to know about the signs of pancreatic cancer as well as risk factors to avoid. |

Jenna Bush Hager announced the May selection for her book club is "Chain Gang All-Stars," the debut novel by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, author of the short story collection "Friday Black." The novel tells the story of female gladiators in a future world where prisoners are forced to fight each other to get their freedom. "It's about where we find entertainment," Jenna said. "How violence has become so much part of who we are as a culture. It'll make you have conversations about the prison industrial complex. It pushed me, for sure."
