A little pick-me-up before you go. |
An initial goal of sleeping outdoors for 10 days in a row has extended to more than 1,000 straight nights for 14-year-old Isaac Ortman. The Boy Scout from Duluth, Minnesota, made himself a bed in his backyard hammock in April 2020 and found out he loves it. He's even braved minus-38-degree temperatures during winters in Minnesota and camped out on vacation while his family stayed in a hotel. Isaac recently made one exception when a black bear showed up in the middle of the night. However, he doesn't plan on snoozing in a bed anytime soon. "I'm not out there to beat any world record," he told us. "I'm just here having fun in my backyard." Read his story. |
