Having a hard time remembering to eat veggies while surrounded by your holiday favorites? It happens to all of us. Sometimes it seems easier to fill up on cookies than it is to fill up on spinach. I have a tip that will definitely help! Last holiday season, I gave one of my weight loss clients a mandatory nightly side salad to go along with whatever she ate for dinner. Whether it was at home or at a restaurant, she knew she could count on a side salad to go along with her dinner. This made her stress less about eating healthy because she banked on at least eating veggies once throughout the day! If you're scared you might not meet your daily veggie quota during the holidays — or anytime — I recommend the same to you! Committing to a specific nutritional goal will help you make it into a habit and you might even find that you eat less of what you don't want to in order to fit that salad in!
