U-S-A! U-S-A! It was a heart-stopper in Qatar as the U.S. men's national team edged Iran 1-0 in the World Cup to the delirious delight of American fans everywhere. Star forward Christian Pulisic scored the game's only goal in the first half but paid the price for it, suffering a pelvic contusion in a collision with Iran's goalie that put him out of the game. The victory advanced the U.S. to the knockout round, where teams must win or be eliminated. USA will face the Netherlands in the round of 16 on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m. ET in a bid to keep their hopes alive. 🇺🇸 |
