The House committee investigating the Capitol riot subpoenaed former White House counsel Pat Cipollone yesterday after testimony by a former White House aide who said Cipollone raised questions about Donald Trump's actions on Jan. 6. That aide, Cassidy Hutchinson has also received pushback on her testimony from Republicans, who disputed that Trump got physical with a Secret Service agent who wouldn't drive him to the Capitol to join the mob. The committee's top Republican, Rep. Liz Cheney, denounced Trump in a speech Wednesday, calling him "a domestic threat that we have never faced before." |

The 55-year-old disgraced R&B star was sentenced to three decades in prison yesterday after being convicted of nine counts in a sex trafficking case against him. Prosecutors alleged that he and his entourage led a criminal enterprise that recruited and groomed victims for sex, arranging for them to travel to concerts and events across the U.S. Several of his victims emotionally addressed him during the sentencing in Brooklyn, including one who said she "suffocated with fear." "What you did left a permanent stain on my life," she said. |
