  After an authorization from the Food and Drug Administration, all adults over the age of 18 are eligible for a booster dose of either the Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA coronavirus vaccine.
The updated authorization came after boosters were approved for limited populations nationwide. In recent weeks, some states decided to offer boosters to all adults, but the Friday morning decision by the FDA opens eligibility to all adults regardless of health status, age or other factors.
