TODAY One Small Thing
Those tiny fuzz balls can ruin a favorite sweater just one season after you buy it. Cashmere is notorious for pilling, as is synthetic acrylic, which is often used as a substitute for wool.

There are ways to minimize pilling, though. The fuzz balls are caused by abrasion, so after wearing your favorite sweater, store it inside-out. That way, any abrasion happens on the interior rather than the exterior.

The same goes for laundry: Wash your clothes inside-out so that when they're rubbing against other articles of clothing in the washer, the fuzz balls mostly affect the inside of the garment.

Follow the link to see how to rescue your favorite sweater if pilling has already occurred.
