I'd be lying if I said that I don't pick favorites when it comes to shoes. Every season, there's one pair of sneakers, sandals, flats or loafers that stands out and becomes my go-to. This summer, I wore one pair of platform sandals nearly every day until they simply broke … likely out of sheer exhaustion (RIP).
But thanks to Dr. James Christina, CEO of the American Podiatric Medical Association, I've learned that I've been making a huge mistake. Not only could you ruin your shoes (like I know all too well), but it's also terrible for your feet to wear the same shoes every day. Even running sneakers are a bad idea!
And when it comes to dropping truth bombs, Rachel Bloom isn't afraid to share the reality of the red carpet. The star and co-creator of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (watch it immediately if you haven't) explained that there's a cost to being bigger than a size 2.
"A lot of fashion houses are reluctant to lend clothes that aren't in the sample sizes of 0 and 2, so it's getting harder and harder for me to find clothes without buying them," Bloom told Wealthsimple. "That's the whole problem with the fashion industry: My body size is literally normal and healthy, but when you put me next to a model, I look obese."
