Happiness: It's the one thing most of us could use a little more of. But how do you get it? Perhaps "hygge" could help.

TODAY.com's own editorial director, Meena Duerson, looked into this newly popular five-letter word to find the answer. What's the secret to this trend straight out of Denmark (consistently ranked No. 1 in happiness)? Keeping cozy, mostly. Read and watch more of her exploration. And, by the way, it's pronounced HOO-ga.

And since we're all about diving into the great mysteries of the world, we also looked into a question that women have likely asked since the beginning of time: Why does it feel like my hair hurts? As you can imagine, it's not actually the hair that hurts but the scalp when wearing a ponytail or updo for too long. But there are things you can do to avoid the sensation!

So go ahead: Let your hair down and get your hygge on this weekend. It's good for your health!
