Leslie Stone underwent multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation after cancerous tumors were discovered in her uterus in 2020. The California art professor's condition reached the point where she planned a goodbye trip with her son, who was 16 at the time, to see the country and visit family and friends one last time. Her doctor had put her on the immunotherapy drug Keytruda to try to slow her metastasized cancer. But before she left for her trip in June 2022, she received some stunning news. "(My doctor) called me and he said, 'Your last CT scan showed zero cancer,'" she told TODAY.com. Stone, 60, and her son decided to continue with the trip. "At that point it went from a farewell tour to a celebratory one," she says. "We just had an amazing time." Read her full story here. |

A little pick-me-up before you go. |
Courtney Rich had tears in her eyes as she struggled to complete the last few miles of a marathon in Salt Lake City this month when a bystander from the crowd willed her to the finish line. Rich shared a video of her 10-year-old daughter dashing from the sidelines to give her mom an emotional boost when she needed it most.
