Former President Donald Trump appeared in court in Miami yesterday and pleaded not guilty to 37 felony counts accusing him of obstructing justice by holding on to sensitive national security documents he was supposed to have surrendered when he left the White House. The judge barred Trump from discussing the case with any witnesses identified on a list to be compiled by government lawyers. Trump traveled to New Jersey after his arraignment and delivered a speech at his Bedminster golf club before a crowd of supporters, blaming the prosecution on his political enemies. Here's the latest. |

The four children who survived for 40 days in the Amazon jungle after a plane crash that killed all the adults onboard were on the flight because they were fleeing for their lives, according to a report by The New York Times. The father of two of the survivors said an armed group that forcibly recruits children had seized control of their home region in southern Colombia, so the kids were flying with their mother to a city where they could live safely. Also, a preliminary report by Colombian authorities obtained by NBC News shed light on why the plane crashed and how the children survived it. Investigators determined the pilot made a distress call citing engine failure before the aircraft went down. Investigators say the front of the plane was demolished after smashing nose-first into the jungle floor, but the children survived because they were likely seated in the back of the aircraft. Here's the very latest. |

Julie Devaney Hogan, 38, was putting on her swimsuit last summer when she felt a tiny bump below her nipple. The mom of three said her primary care doctor told her not to worry and to wait for her physical in October, but she scheduled an appointment with her OB-GYN anyway. Tests revealed she had stage 3 HER2 positive invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. "My bikini saved my life," she told TODAY.com. "I very well could have brushed it off and waited. And I was told had I waited, we'd be in a very different scenario." Hogan also opened up about juggling parenting and cancer treatments, and her Season for Squeezin' campaign to have swimsuit makers include tags with information about breast cancer detection. A little pick-me-up before you go. |
One Canadian mom wanted to make sure other parents knew exactly what they were getting into at a party for her twins' 5th birthday next month. "This event is brought to you by Pinterest fails and the Dollar Store so please set your expectations appropriately," Carys Roberts wrote on the hilariously honest invitation. "As requested the theme will be 'unicorns but with rainbows and maybe bats but there should be princesses and also Minnie and we need dancing lights,' so … dress accordingly." When it came to the parents, Roberts wrote they should feel free to "drop off and run." A fellow parent who loved the invitation posted it on TikTok, where's it's been viewed more than 4 million times. "The last thing we want is for people to be spending a lot of money," Roberts told us. "We're really low-key." |
