The first children under 5 started receiving COVID-19 vaccine shots yesterday, and the White House said parents of children as young as 6 months can make vaccine appointments this week. "These vaccines are exceedingly safe," White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator Dr. Ashish Jha said on TODAY. Getting vaccinated "keeps kids out of the hospital," Jha added. Prince William opens up about Princess Diana's influence on him as he celebrates his 40th birthday today.

The Duke of Cambridge wrote in the British newspaper The Big Issue about how his mother's lessons about advocating for the homeless resonate with him today as he marks a milestone birthday. He hopes to pass that passion for the cause to his own three children. Russian journalist sells his Nobel Peace Prize for $103.5 million to raise money for Ukrainian child refugees.

Russian journalist Dmitry Muratov, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in October 2021 for the fight to preserve free speech in Russia, auctioned off his medal last night for $103.5 million. The highest a Nobel Prize medal had previously ever sold for was $4.76 million. Muratov, who has been the target of threats for his work, is giving the money to UNICEF to help Ukrainian child refugees. "We want to return their future," he said.

'Pose' star Michaela Jaé Rodriguez opens up about breaking boundaries in Hollywood and the music industry.

The actor and singer, who came out as transgender at 24, shared with us during Pride Month how she has navigated the entertainment industry on her way to earning an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe win for her role in "Pose."
