In a series of online chat logs that were reviewed by NBC News and appear to be written by the suspected gunman who attacked a Buffalo grocery store, Payton Gendron indicated that he considered a school and churches as additional targets because he thought they would have large numbers of Black people. He also described a planning process that appeared to begin as far back as December, and included images of weapons that later showed up in the livestreamed video from the deadly rampage. |

A grilled steak is a summer staple, and this grilled tri-tip with chimichurri sauce from chef Matt Abdoo of popular New York City barbecue spot Pig Beach is a great way to switch your game up. The chimichurri, made with parsley, oregano, garlic and shallots, is ideal not only for steak, but pork, chicken and fish, too. Abdoo's Mexican street corn is the perfect side, and it also pairs well with his signature Pig Beach burger with a tangy sauce, cheese and zesty pickles. |

Some students cried tears of joy when they found out that SNAP co-founder Evan Spiegel and his wife, model Miranda Kerr, were paying off at least $10 million of their student debt. It's the largest single donation in the college's history. "We hope this gift will empower graduates to pursue their passions, contribute to the world, and inspire humanity for years to come," the couple said in a statement. |
