The Hall of Fame infielder and civil rights icon became the first Black player in MLB history when he debuted for the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15, 1947. Players and managers on every team will wear Robinson's No. 42 on their jerseys today. Robinson's widow, Rachel, 99, and his son David will be at today's Dodgers game as part of events across the league honoring his legacy. "Baseball was, even for my father, a social development tool," David told us. |

A 27-year-old mom's home pregnancy test came back positive, but an ultrasound didn't find a baby. "My uterus was filled with what looked like grapes," she said. Tests found she had stage 1 gestational trophoblastic disease, a type of rare cancer that can cause positive pregnancy tests. She spoke to us about her symptoms, as well as her complicated recovery. "I just wanted to have another baby," she said. |

Serious medical issues can either bring a couple closer or intensify existing problems in a marriage, experts say. However, a woman is six times more likely to be separated or divorced soon after a diagnosis of cancer or multiple sclerosis than if the man in the relationship is sick, according to research in the journal Cancer. "Men may be very well equipped to be primary providers but not so well equipped to be primary caregivers," the study's co-author told us. |

Starsky, a 2-year-old pit bull, felt stressed out after living in a shelter for over a year. So a volunteer decided to give him his own private space to chill — a princess tent. Starsky's human pals at I Heart Dogs Rescue and Animal Haven in Warren, Michigan, say he loves his "me time" in the pink tent, which is stocked with his favorite toys. And they may have started a trend. When the shelter posted about Starsky on Facebook, people responded saying they wanted to get play tents for their stressed or anxious dogs. |
