Tax season is upon us! (Collective groan.) If you've procrastinated until the final week, here's the good news: You're not alone, as about 1/3 of Americans wait until the last minute. This year's filing deadline is Monday, April 18, instead of the usual April 15 date. Here's all you need to know about filing this year and the common (and costly) mistakes to avoid.

NFL fans mourn Pittsburgh QB Dwayne Haskins after his death at 24.

Tributes have poured in for former Ohio State star and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who died at 24 on Saturday in a traffic accident. A police investigation is ongoing after Haskins was killed in West Palm Beach, Florida, when he was hit by a dump truck while trying to cross a highway. Haskins played three seasons in the NFL after being selected by Washington in the first round of the 2019 draft.

John Lennon's son Julian performed 'Imagine' for the first time.

Julian Lennon had vowed to never publicly perform one of his father's most legendary hits, but he changed his mind to support a fundraiser for Ukraine. The oldest son of the late Beatles legend sang a stunning rendition accompanied by Nuno Bettencourt on guitar as part of Global Citizen's social media rally, Stand Up For Ukraine. "His lyrics reflect our collective desire for peace worldwide," Lennon, 59, said of his father.

👶 A viral gender reveal was a big swing and a miss.

A University of New Orleans baseball player broke a cardinal rule of gender reveals: Hug the mom before you hug your bros. Travis Gober, 19, caught some heat on social media for being mobbed by his buddies before celebrating with girlfriend Hannah Calverley, 18, in a gender reveal video on TikTok. "I didn't think anything bad about it until I started reading the comments," Calverley said. "What people didn't see was how he came over and gave me a huge hug and a kiss right after."

💍 Ben and Jen are engaged (again).

No, this isn't an item from our 2002 newsletter. Ben Affleck, 49, and Jennifer Lopez, 52, are engaged for the second time, nearly two decades after breaking off their first engagement during the heady "Bennifer" days of 2004. J.Lo announced the newest engagement in a video and also showed off the rock that she got, a green diamond she said was "perfect."

Lex watched TODAY every day in the hospital after his cancer diagnosis in 2019 and waited three years to realize his dream of making it to the Big Apple to see the show in person. He got hugs and smiles from Hoda and Savannah on a day he won't forget. "Amazing," he said. "I finished my chemo last month, and I'm happy to be here."
