A key consumer inflation report that will be released today is expected to reflect that inflation is "extraordinarily elevated," the White House said Monday. The consumer price index is expected to report a 7.9% spike in prices from a year ago, which would be the highest increase since "Raiders of the Lost Ark" was a hit at the box office back in December 1981.
