The FDA has reclassified the risk level of a mass recall involving more than 1.5 million bags of shredded cheese sold at Aldi, Walmart, Target and more. A recall by Ohio-based Great Lakes Cheese Co. Inc. over possible contamination of metal fragments is now "Class I," meaning the products "may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences." The cheese was sold under brands like Brookshire, Borden, Cache Valley Creamery and more.
