| Today's workout is a walk. Backward walking — also called retro-walking — is exactly what it sounds like: the act of walking in reverse. It involves walking backward while maintaining proper posture and balance. The movement engages different muscles than forward walking, activating the glutes, hamstrings and calves and stretching the quads and hips. Walking backward has benefits beyong toning, too. It can help improve coordination and is a great way to switch up your workout routine and challenge your mind and body in a new way. Here are even more reasons to add it to your routine. | |

If you want a comforting, falling-off-the-bone meat dish without babysitting a roast all day, might we suggest the humble chicken thigh? Braising or pan-roasting it results in that same decadence in a fraction of the time. The trick for this recipe is to let the skin get really crispy in the initial browning phase and then let it finish roasting skin side up, just barely nestled in the sautéed vegetables, stock, and wine — not submerged. This way the meat will stay tender while the skin will get crackly-crispety-crunchety (these are technical terms, you understand). Breakfast: Banana Bread Overnight Oats Lunch: Veggie-Packed Sandwich Dinner: Pan-Roasted Chicken Thighs with Mushrooms and Mashed Cauliflower |

More than 200 viruses can can cause a cold, but rhinovirus is the most common culprit, per the CDC. It begs the question: how can you get rid of a cold fast? Or do we just have to wait and let our body fight it off? What gets rid of a cold fast? |
