Summer has officially begun, which means warmer days and more time outside. Forget the temperature: Learn the number you should always check before heading outside. Plus, a fuss-free egg scramble you'll cook once and eat throughout the week. |

| Today's workout is a walk — we're on day 12 of our walking streak!
Want a little extra challenge today? Warm up for your walk with a set of mountain climbers. The exercise gives you a lot of bang for your buck since it targets many major muscle groups at once, including the abs, low back, hamstrings and glutes. It can be hard to find low-impact exercises that are effective at burning calories and mountain climbers check off both boxes. Although mountain climbers are high intensity and help raise your heart rate, they're safe for people who suffer with joint pain.
To perform: Begin in plank position, keeping your back straight, your hips low and your core engaged. Bring your right knee under your chest toward your right elbow. Return your right leg back to plank position; bring your left leg under your chest toward your left elbow. Repeat while alternating your legs, keeping a steady pace.
Avoid these common mistakes when performing mountain climbers. |

This week's meal plan is all about convenience. No need to fuss with an omelet when you get the same flavor from a scramble. The recipe makes two servings, but you can scale it to eat multiple times over the week. It'll keep in the fridge for a few days.

Summer skin care myths and tips, according to dermatologist Dr. Pimple Popper |
While enjoying the sunshine can be one of the most fun parts of summer, increased exposure to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays also comes with risks. Dr. Sandra Lee, board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon also known as Dr. Pimple Popper, says that one of the biggest myths is that the sun is stronger on hotter days. While the sun is generally stronger in the summer when the days are warmer, the intensity of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun varies based on a number of factors. The most important thing to look at is UV index, Lee said. The UV index can still be high on overcast or cloudy days. So you can't rely on the temperature outside or looking at the sky to determine how strong the sun will be that day. While it's important to wear sunscreen every day regardless of the UV index, you may need extra protection (for example, higher SPF or more frequent reapplications) on days when it's higher. Dr. Pimple Popper shares more summer skin care myths and facts. |
