The president turned to a Cold War-era federal law to boost production of baby formula amid the shortage, and how you can save at the gas pump after prices cross $4 a gallon in all 50 states. Also, a mom gave birth in the middle of a Frontier Airlines flight with help from a flight attendant. |

In order to address the baby formula shortage, the president has turned to a law from 1950 that was also used early in the pandemic and allows the government to direct manufacturing production for national defense. Invoking the law means the federal government can force suppliers to send needed resources to baby formula manufacturers ahead of other customers. Biden also announced a program that will use U.S. military aircraft to transport formula from overseas. |

Yesterday, it was a mom by the side of the road. Today, it's a mom at 30,000 feet. Shakeria Martin was asleep on a flight from Denver to Orlando when her contractions woke her up. Soon, she was paging a flight attendant to say she was going into labor. The attendant ushered her into a lavatory and helped deliver a baby girl Martin named Jada Lynn Sky. This isn't Martin's first unusual birth, either. The mother of four delivered her third child with the help of a sheriff's deputy who pulled her over for speeding on the way to the hospital. See the photos of her newest little miracle here, and watch TODAY's exclusive chat with Martin and the hero flight attendant this morning at 7:30 a.m. |

A "super healthy" Canadian man figured lingering back pain and a persistent hoarse voice might have been from a suspected case of Covid over the holidays. He's now receiving treatment for a cancer that is exceedingly rare in people under 35. "Even now, in hindsight, who would be like, 'Oh, your back is in pain. You have lung cancer,'" he told us. |

Enjoy some Middle Eastern flavors with Chef Alon Shaya, who stopped by to share recipes for his favorite easy Middle Eastern dips. First, we've got colorful roasted eggplant and sweet peppers, known as lutenitsa, that Shaya's grandmother used to make him during her visits from Israel. Or, try charring some eggplant directly on the stovetop to make a smoky, flavorful baba ganoush (pictured above). |

Who among us hasn't had the occasional hankering for *checks notes* 31 hamburgers? This 2-year-old boy left his mom stunned when a DoorDash delivery driver showed up at their Texas home with an order of 31 cheeseburgers that came out to $91.70 after the tip and app fees. Kelsey Burkhalter Golden mistakenly thought her son, Barrett, was just taking photos of himself with her phone, not going full Hamburglar at the local McDonald's. Barrett himself was even disappointed with the order. "He actually doesn't even like cheeseburgers. He ate half of one," she told us. |
