Many people have postponed routine physicals and screenings during the coronavirus crisis, but doctors' offices have been open and they want to see their patients, says NBC News medical contributor Dr. Natalie Azar.
Annual exams can lead to early detection of cancer, heart problems and other issues when there's the best chance to recover.
To get the most out of your doctor's visit, narrow your questions down to the top three and write them down because time will be limited, Azar advised. Don't save significant concerns to the end of the appointment — be ready to talk about them upfront.
