Coping with anxiety? Just go for a walk.
Most any form of exercise quickly reduces a person's anxiety, while boosting mood, says Wendy Suzuki, a neuroscientist and author of the new book "Good Anxiety."
"It is because every time you move your body, you stimulate the release of what I like to call a bubble bath of neurochemicals in your brain," she noted. "Those neurochemicals include dopamine, serotonin, noradrenaline, which are the basis for the better mood."
It's one of the most powerful ways, along with deep breathing, to cope with an anxiety-provoking situation, she added.
