Don’t miss out on one of the healthiest parts of an apple

If you've been eating an apple a day to keep the doctor away, but haven't been consuming the core, you are likely missing out on some of the most beneficially nutritious parts of the apple, a recent study found.

In addition to fiber and flavonoids, apples contain bacteria (the good, gut health-promoting kind) and most of it is found in the fruit's core, including the stem and seeds. The results suggest it may be advantageous to consume the entire apple.
